Beechworth Carriage Motor Inn

YOUR HOSTS: Brian and Catherine Smith have been in the hospitality industry since 2001. 

We know that our welcome and how we look after your group will reflect on your company and we make sure that our service is second to none.

On our first visit to Beechworth, we fell in love with this beautiful town and its picturesque surrounds. It seemed natural that after 7 years in the accommodation industry, we would move here to take over the Beechworth Carriage Motor Inn, situated right in the heart of Beechworth.

Prior to coming to Beechworth we owned and operated one of the top 3½ star motels in Ballarat. Our specialty was customised packages for small and large groups from throughout Australia and overseas. These groups included Probus, Seniors, various sporting groups including cycling teams.

We bring to Beechworth a wealth of experience and knowledge to
make your group’s stay with us truly memorable.

Here at Beechworth Carriage Motor Inn we are surrounded by majestic liquid amber and elm trees and overlook historic Loddon hotel (now a private residence).Yet  only 200m from the Post Office, historic precinct and information centre. Also close by is our vibrant café and shopping strip including the famous Beechworth Bakery and award winning Beechworth Sweet Co and Beechworth Honey Experience.

We want you to experience the true region of Beechworth and share everything with you. We care that you have a good time and hope that you will fall in love with Beechworth too.

OUR ONGOING COMMITMENT TO YOU: 

  • We have 27 ground floor units with 3.5 star rating, that are non-smoking for your comfort, surrounded by manicured lawns and attractive gardens
  • Brian and Catherine, along with their friendly staff, can assist you with local knowledge and experience that will ensure you take advantage of the unique charm and character of our wonderful location during your stay with us.
  • We are able to book any tours for your group and arrange admission to various attractions around Beechworth and the region. 
  • Free unlimited wireless broadband is accessible all over our property
  • Our restaurant specialises in ‘home style’ cooking. We use fresh local produce and stock a large range of local beers and wines. Over dinner you could be enjoying apple crumble made from Stanley apples and a platter full of cheeses and mustards from Milawa.
  • All rooms have queen beds, crisp pressed white linen sheets and fluffy white towels.
  • We provide decent sized china cups, wine glasses and fresh milk in each room.
  • The rooms are a good size and have modern bathrooms.
  • All rooms have 37" high definition LCD TV.
  • We can organize late night shopping just for your group and/or evening entertainment including music and trivia.
  • Our complimentary guest laundry includes washing powder.
  • Our motel grounds are large enough to offer you off street coach parking within the complex

ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS

Since taking over Beechworth Carriage Motor Inn, Brian and Catherine have made many changes.  We have introduced many environmentally friendly initiatives and a recycling program.

  • Rubbish collection has dropped by over 65%
  • Water consumption has been reduced by over 50%
  • Energy consumption has been reduced by over 40%
  • Local produce is used where possible, reducing carbon emissions from transportation of our supplies.

Conditions and Payments Policy:

  • Passenger Rooming List must be received 30 days prior to arrival date.
  • Final rooming list and special diets or other requirements required 7 prior to arrival.
  • Full payment must be received no later than the group’s departure date.
  • Payment accepted by –  American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard & VISA –please note that a surcharge applies to some Credit Card Transactions. EFT direct to our account – see Invoice for our Banking Details. Cheques are not accepted without prior arrangements.

INCLUSIONS

Beechworth Carriage Motor InnRates are fixed for the duration of your tour but some inclusions apply to groups of 30 or more for multi night stays.

Other Services Offered

LOCATION – The main Beechworth shopping and tourism precincts are located around the intersection of Camp and Ford streets.  The Beechworth Carriage Motor Inn is located in Camp street approx. 200 meters from Ford Street and the Beechworth Post Office, so is within very easy walking distance from most of the towns shops, including the famous Beechworth Bakery and award winning Beechworth Sweet Co and Beechworth Honey Experience.

LATE NIGHT SHOPPING

Special arrangements can be made to have approx 15 shops remain open after normal closing hours for groups wanting free-time shopping.

ITINERARY ORGANISATION / BOOKING SERVICE

Once an itinerary is confirmed we can put in place all necessary bookings for Entertainment, Tour Guides, late night Shopping, bookings to attractions or other requirements.

TOUR GUIDING AND INFORMATION SERVICE

Beechworth Carriage Motor Inn can arrange for Tour Guides in a number of locations in the North Eastern Victoria Region should they be required.

Fiddleback Restaurant & Bar

We pride ourselves on using fresh local produce bought daily from Pete the greengrocer, Luke the butcher and Tom the baker. The high quality, fresh products are simply prepared and cooked well.

We offer a constantly changing menu in tune with the changing seasons. Our sample menu demonstrates our wholesome approach to your meals. 

All dietary requirements are catered for and a vegetarian and glutten free options are included as part of our standard menu.

Our bar stocks local wines and beers – many of which are award winning.

Beechworth and North East Victoria is renowned for its gourmet delights and our groups will experience the 'Taste' of Beechworth and the North East in our excellent menu.

Our restaurant is ground floor with easy access directly from the car park or the street. You will enjoy the view of gorgeous elm trees, which constantly change with the seasons and overlook one of the many heritage buildings that Beechworth is famous for.
